A colourful "welcome" road sign on the edge of a winter field.
These are some of the pictures that a group of Hobbema students captured of the Montana First Nation. Today, those photos will be released in a 21-page book called Can You See Me?, showing people how the teens see their community.
"We're trying to give (our community) a different perspective of how they can see themselves," said Kassidy Saskatchewan, a Grade 9 student at Meskanahk ka Nipa Wit School.
Kassidy and the 10 other members of the Meskanahk ka Nipa Wit School's BookMaker club have spent every Monday morning this school year working on the book.
"They are using their voice and their talent to let the whole world know who they are," said Carolyn Buffalo, chief of Montana First Nation, where the school is located.
